Works: In This House

Journeying into sisters’ complex familial relationship, dancers explore birth order, intimacy, and questions of communal and individual identities. Two people are extremely close, woven from similar DNA threads, but are different. Who supports? Who leads? These sisters have a bonded, cyclical relationship with deep understanding.
Dancers have individually intricate phrases that are complementary and travel on the same path. Guided partnering has varying levels of support, energy, and weight. Slight movement variations from unison, canon, gradual accelerations, accumulation, shifting emotional intents, and gesture weave these sisters towards and away from each other.
Cello and electronic music composed by Teresa Fellion and John Yannelli, (both can be presented live).
