October 14-16, BodyStories founder Teresa Fellion served as a panelist at the Empire Arts Summit. Alongside an inspiring and activated group of arts leaders and changemakers, she took part in a conversation on Bridging Communities and Rural‑Urban Arts Collaborations, exploring how the arts can knit together cultural, geographic, and social divides.
This inaugural Summit is presented by ArtsNYS, and brings together cultural leaders, artists, educators, advocates, and policymakers from across New York State to imagine new roles for the arts in democracy, social resilience, and community building. The event includes keynote talks, breakout sessions, workshops, and panels that span themes such as policy & advocacy, social impact, economic revitalization, and equitable access to the arts.
