This dance production focuses on personal experiences of gender identity and expression, exploring the complex, individualized journeys of navigating societal trauma. In “Crossing Through,” we illustrate the power of the self against discriminatory actions, while also articulating ways in which our identities can be altered as a result. Costume design by Nina Katan adds a visual dimension to our exploration of these themes.
