SAVE THE DATE for the premiere of our newest work, Agawam
Through deep senses of connection, fast footwork, and complex partnering sequences, Agawam
examines sensibilities behind the work ethic and familial bonds of post-depression era working class American families. While researching Springfield, Massachusetts and Morrisania, Bronx during this time period, we translated some of the ethos, social practices, and energetic currents we discovered into movement. From music to clothing, to the naming of towns and sports teams, how do the “borrowed” threads of cultural crossover move us?
